Program Description
Our Older Kids photography program incorporates more advanced learning opportunities, and encourages creative storytelling, without sacrificing any fun. We’re living in a digital world and many of our kids are curious and drawn to it. At The School of Creative Snaps, we give them a chance to safely create digital images through the art of photography. They will use all their senses, and mind to brainstorm and bring to life their unique ideas. Schedule: * Ages 7-9 (4pm-5pm) * Ages 10-12 (5pm-6pm) * Each program consists of its weekly photography genre so that your child has something new to anticipate with each coming week. * Our lessons are designed to keep your child engaged, whether it’s creating their own photography set, directing their subjects and photoshoot, or taking creative charge with ideas from the prompts. * The lessons take place in a brand new clean studio, and have 2 cameras that will be in the rotation and photography equipment they can use there. Or they can bring their own DSLR camera if they have one! (We are working on getting more cameras!) * There’s space to grow, explore and learn their favorite type of photography. I will give them each (specific to them) tips and guidance while letting them take creative charge.

About The School of Creative Snaps
Photography is not a one-day learning process. I teach how to use the camera manually. There’s no automatic shooting in our class! Students will learn the core manual basics like Aperture, Shutter speed, and ISO. Along with lighting, and how to control and/or work with light around you. Throughout these important lessons, the kids will get different weekly photography genres, and a variety of subjects to explore and have fun with at the studio! Here at The School for Creative Snaps I respect the photography process and love to see progress. Eventually, shortly, at the end of every 8 weeks, there will be an exhibition at the studio for the parents to see their child’s work.
