Description
Early Childhood Dance Weekly Themed Workshop Three-year-olds are quite new to learning how their bodies move, as well as how to behave in a classroom. Children in this program are gently introduced to the classroom environment. The program for four-year-olds builds on the work done the previous year. At this age, students learn to control their movements further. Weight transfers are done not only forward and backward, but also from side to side. Balances are more sustained. Five-year-olds continue to work on the same concepts begun in the 3- and 4-year-old classes but in greater degrees of complexity. Their ability to count the music is developed, they utilize opposite arms and legs while skipping, galloping, and balancing.

About Jersey City Dance Academy
We nurture potential artists and recreational dancers. We use a progressive approach built on technique. Students are encouraged to discover dance and movement in order to better understand themselves. We begin in our Early Childhood program by mastering the basic concepts through imagination and exploration. As a student progresses they are challenged with the latest dance innovations and choreography while emphasizing technique, safe work habits, personal responsibility, and concentration. Students are encouraged to explore our various performance opportunities.
