Chinese: Level 2

Description

Our Intermediate level program focuses on developing Chinese literacy skills by following MLP 1st Grade Chinese textbooks. Students will be engaged in more complex conversations and discuss topics that require critical thinking and advanced vocabulary under the guidance of their teacher. Later on, students will be introduced to Pinyin (the Chinese phonetic system) so that they can read Chinese books and passages independently. In addition, students will study radicals in depth so that they can use them as a tool to infer the meanings of new and complicated Chinese characters. Students will also practice Chinese character writing and they will learn how to follow the correct stroke order. Intermediate Level 2 Class * Advanced Vocabulary: Expand vocabulary to include more complex words and phrases for deeper communication. * Conversational Skills: Focus on improving listening, speaking, and comprehension skills for more meaningful conversations. * Reading and Writing Proficiency: Continue to develop reading comprehension and writing skills, including more complex characters. * Cultural Immersion: Explore Chinese literature, art, and history to provide a broader cultural context.
