Our Introduction to Chess summer course is the perfect entry point for young beginners. Designed for children with little to no prior experience, this course introduces the game in a fun and engaging way through storytelling, interactive games, and hands-on activities. Students will explore the fundamentals of chess, including: * The layout of the chessboard * The names, values, and movements of all pieces * How to capture, check, checkmate, and stalemate * Special moves like castling Lessons combine board demonstrations, group discussion, and guided gameplay to create a playful, supportive environment. While the program is short, its primary goal is to spark curiosity and enthusiasm for chess, laying the foundation for further learning.
