Program Description

This summer, elevate your energy and spirit with our Cheerleading Program! Whether you're looking to learn new skills, make new friends, or simply have fun, our program is the perfect place for you. Open to all skill levels from beginner to advanced, our experienced coaches are ready to help you jump higher, shout louder, and become a stronger part of a team. Participants will learn everything from basic cheers and chants to more complex routines, all while developing agility, strength, and confidence. Our supportive environment encourages teamwork and leadership, as each cheerleader plays an important role in the success of their squad.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Cancellations within the 24-hour notice period may incur a fee of up to 50% of the lesson cost. Full refunds are available for cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice. In cases of emergency or illness, exceptions can be made at the discretion of the provider.

From sports to homework help, the Department of Recreation offers a variety of programs for Jersey City youth to support its mission of encouraging people of all ages to partake in activities to stay physically and mentally fit, relieve stress, and become further acclimated with their surrounding community by way of recreational activities. Specifically, Recreation offers an array of activities that encompass but are not limited to ice skating, aerobics, swimming, and gymnastics as well as more conventional activities such as track, basketball, baseball, and football. The Department offers after-school programs at the Jersey City YMCA and Armory and various public schools throughout the city.
